6th Grade Beginning Band
Course Description:
6th Grade Band is a performance class that teaches students the basics of playing an instrument. The instruments taught are flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, and percussion. No experience necessary. Musical topics introduced include reading musical notation, analyzing and evaluating music, as well as composing and improvising simple melodies. The students present a Winter and Spring Concert.
